Postdoctoral Researcher in Nature and Human Health and Wellbeing
Leverhulme Centre for Nature Recovery and Department of Psychiatry, University of Oxford.
We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Nature and Human Health and Wellbeing. The researcher would conduct innovative research exploring the relationships between exposure to nature/biodiversity and human mental or physical health, as part of a multidisciplinary team. The exact nature of this research is not specific: we welcome applications from a broad range of disciplines, including the natural, social and medical sciences and the humanities. Interdisciplinary approaches are particularly welcome.
Application deadline: Friday, 7th June 2024
Research Assistant Flourishing and Wellbeing (2 posts)
University of Oxford, Department of Psychiatry, Warneford Hospital.
The postholder(s) will be joining an exciting research sub-group within the NEUROSEC team, working on the NIHR Flourishing and Wellbeing Theme (see below), led by Professor Ilina Singh. We are committed to driving conceptual and empirical research at the intersection of mental health and planetary health science. Our novel approach is grounded in a concept of flourishing that can account for the entanglement of human and non-human health and wellbeing. We call this concept: ecological-collective-flourishing, or e-co-flourishing. The Flourishing Theme is interdisciplinary, with close partnerships across the University, including in Philosophy, Geography, English Literature, Economics and the GLAM (Gardens, Libraries, Arts and Museums) group.
Application deadline: Monday, 13th May 2024
